This is an assemblage mixed media sculpture consisting of ceramic, wood and found objects. He is an adult size hobby horse with a broken back and the rubber coming off his wheels. The piece came from a place of broken promises, and a quote I read, "Nobody has ever broken your heart. They broke your expectations." The finished project, "Remember Me". 36"x36"x36" ceramic, oil paint, foam My current themes of loss, memories and aging come into play with this large, multiple part undertaking. This is a 4 foot tall, old sagging elephant beanbag chair, forgotten and shoved into a corner, carefully preserving the indentation of the last person to sit there. Soul Circus - collaboration
Deirdre Sullivan-Beeman and I are working on a joint project for submission to LAAA's group show in May. LAAA matched us up somehow and I think did a great job.
